Eligibility
To qualify for a rebate on a natural gas water heater, you must:
§ Be a residential natural gas customer of Xcel Energy in North Dakota
Review qualifying equipment requirements before purchase.
Qualifying Equipment & Installation
Residential equipment listed on the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) or ENERGY STAR that meet minimum Uniform Energy Factor rating:
§ Medium Draw Standard Tank Water Heater (0.64 UEF): $75 rebate
§ High Draw Standard Tank Water Heater (0.68 UEF): $75 rebate
§ Tankless Water Heater (0.87 UEF): $250 rebate
Water heater may be installed in a new or existing home.
**Indirect units and commercial water heaters are not eligible. Natural gas water heaters with a rated storage volume of 55 gallons or more are not eligible.
