Available Rebates for Heating Customers

These rebates are available for customers who heat with electricity or natural gas provided by Xcel Energy.

Air Sealing Rebate

• Upgrade Requirements: Reduce NACH50 by at least 20%
• Rebate: 30% of project cost up to $200

Attic Insulation Rebate

• Upgrade Requirements: Pre-job r-value of less than 15 and a post-job r-value of 49 or greater
• Rebate: 30% of project cost up to $400

Wall Insulation Rebate

• Upgrade Requirements: Pre-job must be an empty wall cavity and post-job r-value of 13 or greater
• Rebate: 30% of project cost up to $350

Available Rebates - Cooling Customers Only

These rebates are available for customers who have Xcel Energy electricity with central air-conditioning and who heat with a fuel not provided by Xcel Energy.

Air Sealing Rebate

• Upgrade Requirements: Reduce NACH50 by at least 20%
• Rebate: 30% of project cost up to $15

Attic Insulation Rebate

• Upgrade Requirements: Pre-job r-value of less than 15 and a post-job r-value of 49 or greater
• Rebate: 30% of project cost up to $60

Wall Insulation Rebate

• Upgrade Requirements: Pre-job must be an empty wall cavity and post-job r-value of 13 or greater
• Rebate: 30% of project cost up to $25

Bonus Rebate Available

During special promotions for this program, it is the account holder/contractor’s responsibility to ensure all paperwork is postmarked by the deadline. Promotional rebate amounts will be automatically calculated by Xcel Energy. The insulation and air sealing $600 bonus rebate is available to customers who install Xcel Energy rebate-qualifying insulation and air sealing measures before the installation of a Xcel Energy rebate-qualifying space-heating heat pump within 2 years of each other, based on invoice dates.

Rebate Eligibility Requirements

• You must be a residential, natural gas heating or electric heating customer in Colorado to qualify for the highest rebate tier
• Lower tier rebates are also available for Xcel Energy electric customers with central AC, who heat with a fuel not provided by us
• Equipment must be installed by a current participating insulation/air sealing contractor opens in a new window
• Insulation and/or air sealing measures must be installed by a current participating insulation contractor and according to the program requirements

New residential construction or additions are not eligible for this rebate. Garages, sheds, workshops, below-ground basements, insulated doors, mobile homes and unit properties with more than four units are not eligible.
