What's The Difference Between Ionization and Photoelectric Sensors?
Ionization Sensor smoke alarms are the most common and tend to respond faster to the smoke from fast, flaming fires. Photoelectric smoke alarms tend to respond faster to smoke from slow, smoldering fires. For the best protection, it is recommended you install both Ionization and Photoelectric alarms in your home.
This alarm is powered by a sealed-in lithium battery designed to last the life of the alarm (10 years). This means you never have to worry about battery replacement, battery removal, or unauthorized deactivation of your alarm.
